Hemp Fiber Woven Prepreg

Hemp Fiber Prepreg

Hemp fiber woven prepregs combine the advantages of natural fibers with those of a resin matrix, offering significant environmental benefits—including renewability and biodegradability—as well as lightweight properties. Their multi-scale woven structure imparts isotropic mechanical properties, impact resistance, and energy-absorption capabilities to the material. The surface roughness of hemp fibers enhances interfacial bonding strength and reduces the risk of delamination, making them suitable for applications in automotive interiors, yachts, and sports equipment packaging.

Application
  • Consumer Electronics

    In consumer electronics casings (such as tablets, laptops, and smartphone backs), flax fiber is primarily used as a reinforcing layer in composite materials. It enables efficient production through short-cycle compression molding, meeting the demand for lightweight and low-carbon electronics.

    Environmentally Friendly and Sustainable: Flax captures significant amounts of carbon during its growth cycle; production energy consumption is 2–5 times lower than that of glass fiber, resulting in negative carbon emissions;

    Lightweight and High-Strength: Achieves high rigidity and impact resistance with minimal weight, enhancing device durability;

    Unique Properties: The natural woven texture provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance while offering both antistatic and antimicrobial properties.

  • Flax Fiber Packaging Boxes

    Flax fiber packaging boxes are primarily made from recycled jute sacks, felt, and jute rope. Through a purely physical crushing and recycling process, a low-density, high-strength fiber composite material is produced, making it an ideal material for packaging boxes. Compared to traditional cardboard packaging, these fiber packaging boxes cause less pollution and consume less energy. Used flax packaging boxes can be collected for a fee, reprocessed, and reused. They are truly sustainable, recyclable products.

  • Sports Equipment

    Thanks to its lightweight properties, high rigidity, impact resistance, and exceptional shock absorption derived from its natural multi-level structure, flax fiber significantly enhances riding comfort and handling stability in sports equipment such as bicycles. It also offers carbon-negative production, elongation-at-break safety, and natural antimicrobial properties. Having passed international certifications such as EN1078, it is used in high-end bicycle frames and racing components, delivering the dual benefits of performance breakthroughs and environmental sustainability.

  • Safety Protection

    Flax fiber has become an ideal material for safety helmets due to its excellent energy-absorption properties, lightweight advantages, and sustainability; Its natural multi-level structure efficiently dissipates energy upon impact through mechanisms such as layered fiber fracture and matrix cracking, resulting in energy absorption performance that is 15%–30% higher than that of traditional materials; it significantly reduces strain on the neck and possesses natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. It has already been applied in products such as bicycle helmets and industrial safety helmets, achieving a breakthrough combination of protective performance and environmental sustainability.
