Polyurethane reactives are solid at room temperature; when heated to a certain temperature, they become a viscous liquid, and when cooled back to room temperature, they solidify again. They feature fast bonding, are non-toxic, and have high viscosity, making them widely used in bookbinding (seamless binding), packaging sealing, textiles, construction, automotive components, furniture manufacturing, automotive lighting, and home appliances.
Xinxiu New Material has an annual production capacity of 1,000 metric tons of PUR hot-melt adhesives and packages 50,000 30-milliliter tubes per month on a single-shift basis.
Exceptional Adhesion and Toughness: It exhibits excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials, including metal, plastic, glass, and wood. After curing, the adhesive layer possesses outstanding flexibility and elasticity, with an elongation at break of up to 700%.
Wide Temperature Resistance Range: After curing, it exhibits outstanding temperature resistance, withstanding operating temperatures from -40°C to 95°C (or even wider ranges); some products can withstand temperatures above 150°C and maintain excellent flexibility at low temperatures.
Lower Application Temperature: The application temperature typically ranges from 90°C to 140°C, which is lower than that of traditional EVA hot-melt adhesives (up to 170°C), contributing to energy savings and operational safety.
Short open time: The open time (the time window during which bonding is possible) is typically around 2 to 5 minutes, making it suitable for high-speed automated production lines, though it requires precise operation.
High strength: Shear strength varies depending on the substrate, with typical values ranging from 3.5 MPa to 9 MPa; bonding strength to engineering plastics such as PC can exceed 5 MPa.
Consumer Electronics and Automotive: Precision assembly of mobile phones, smart wearable devices, automotive headlights, and other products, as well as the folding and bonding of soft-pack lithium-ion batteries.
Bookbinding: Due to its high durability and heat resistance, it is an ideal choice for bookbinding (especially high-quality books) and facilitates paper recycling.
Woodworking and Textiles: Used for furniture edge banding, composite fabrics (fabric and film lamination), and more.
Other Industrial Applications: Packaging, coated abrasives, aerospace, and more.
