Two-component liquid silicone–boron resin

Silicone Resin

This two-component liquid organosilicon-boron resin combines the weather resistance and electrical insulation properties of organosilicon with the exceptional heat resistance and adhesion provided by boron. It exhibits excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including metals, ceramics, glass, and fiber materials, and offers superior peel resistance. It can be formulated into a transparent coating with a visible light transmittance exceeding 90%, while maintaining a pencil hardness of 4H, combining transparency with abrasion resistance.

Application

Aerospace‍‌‍‍‌ and Defense: Materials for the thermal protection system on spacecraft, sealing and securing high-temperature structural parts. In addition, it is used for the repair, sealing, and joining of engine parts, gas turbines, and similar components.

Electronics and New Energy: A thermal insulation material for circuit boards in a 5G environment and a material securing and bonding battery packs for new energy vehicles through thermal insulation. It is also capable of acting as a potting material for high-temperature sensors and thermocouples. The high temperature resistance and the insulating property makes it possible to use it as an electronic encapsulation material.

High-End Equipment and Industry: Suitable for sealing and repairing high-speed trains, automotive engine compartments, high-temperature and high-pressure pumps, flanges, boiler piping, and other components, as well as for protective coatings that must withstand high temperatures and corrosion.

Specialty Coatings: Used as ultra-high-temperature-resistant or fire-retardant protective coatings for metal corrosion protection (e.g., protecting tinplate in a 3.5 wt% NaCl solution) and surface protection in extreme environments.
